About Graystone Eye

Since 1969, Graystone Eye has provided community-based eye health excellence for residents of the beautiful Catawba Valley area. Our physicians and staff are dedicated to caring for the health and function of your eyes. In addition to comprehensive eye examinations for eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions, our team of board-certified ophthalmologists specialize in the following areas:

• no-stitch cataract extraction and lens implantation

• treatment of diabetic eye disease and other conditions of the retina

• medical and surgical management of glaucoma

• LASIK and laser refractive surgery

• laser surgery (including Argon and YAG)

• muscle surgery (for strabismus)

• cosmetic surgery

All surgery is performed locally at a variety of locations including:

• Caldwell Memorial Hospital

• Catawba Valley Medical Center

• Frye Regional Medical Center

• Lincoln Medical Center

For your convenience we have three offices: Hickory, Lincolnton and Lenoir. You can make an appointment at any of our three locations by calling (828) 322-2050 or (888) 626-2020. Our office hours are 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday and 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM on Saturday at our Hickory office. If you are a new patient, you now may pre-register online by clicking on the New Patient button on the left-hand side of the screen. If you have an eye emergency, a Graystone Eye ophthalmologist is available by calling (828) 322-2050, or you may go directly to the Emergency Department of the hospital nearest you where the ER physician will begin treatment and contact us as necessary.
