Joins Graystone Eye

Denise Curtis, physician assistant, has joined the practice of Roderick N. Hargrove, MD, at Graystone Eye. She will begin seeing patients effective June 2, 2008.

Curtis, owner of Piedmont Skin Center for the past five years, has collaborated extensively with Dr. Hargrove over the past year, providing consultation and laser aesthetic procedures for his cosmetic surgery patients. The merging of Piedmont Skin Center with Graystone’s cosmetic surgery program will operate under the umbrella of Graystone Oculoplastic and Aesthetic Service.

A graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne College’s pre-med program, she received her Physician Assistant degree from Wake Forest Medical School. Working as a physician assistant for over 20 years in obstetrics, emergency and family practice, Curtis was among the first to offer non-surgical laser aesthetic procedures in the Hickory area.

“With her vast experience in state-of-the-art aesthetic laser technology, Denise brings to Graystone Eye and our cosmetic practice credentials second to none as a physician assistant,” said Dr. Hargrove. “She has the reputation of the being the most qualified in the Hickory area when it comes to laser skin procedures. We are very fortunate she has chosen to partner with our practice.”

Aesthetic services at Graystone Eye will expand with Curtis’ arrival to include aesthetic consultations, Botox and dermal filler injections - including Restylane and Juvaderm, Visia Skin Analysis, wrinkle reduction with Yag laser, Photorejuvenation with intense pulsed light (IPL) technology, laser hair removal, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and a variety of medical grade skin care products.
