Dr. R.E. “Trey” Oursler specializes in refractive surgery, including iLASIK, surface laser correction, corrective lens replacement surgery, and corneal inlay. He also performs anterior segment surgery, small incision cataract surgery with intraocular lens implants, and provides primary eye care, including comprehensive eye examinations and prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses.

Dr. Oursler is affiliated with Catawba Valley Medical Center and Frye Regional Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, North Carolina Medical Society & Foundation, Catawba County Medical Society, North Carolina Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society.
Medical Education
Dr. Oursler completed his medical education at Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University, his internship at Virginia Mason Hospital, his residency at Wills Eye Hospital, and his fellowship at Barnet-Dulaney Eye Center.
