Dr. Roderick N. Hargrove specializes in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery, anterior segment surgery (small incision cataract surgery with intraocular lens implants), and primary eye care, including comprehensive eye examinations and prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses.
Certifications & Professional Associations
Dr. Hargrove is affiliated with Catawba Valley Medical Center and Frye Regional Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Medical Education
Dr. Hargrove completed his medical education at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, his internship at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN, his residency at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, and his fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
