Dr. T.R. Williams specializes in diabetic eye disorders, retinal detachment, age-related macular degeneration, uveitis, infections, retinal blood vessel problems, intraocular tumors, retinopathy of prematurity, macular holes, epiretinal membrane, hereditary retinal disorders (including retinitis pigmentosa), and cystoid macular edema.

Dr. Williams is affiliated with Catawba Valley Medical Center, Frye Regional Medical Center, and Duke University School of Medicine as a Clinical Associate. Dr. Williams is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, North Carolina Medical Society, Catawba County Medical Society, and North Carolina Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
Research
Graystone Eye is currently conducting retina research studies in seven separate clinical trials.
Medical Education
Dr. Williams completed his medical education at the University of Illinois, his internship at Lutheran General Hospital, his residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center, and his fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
