Routine eye and vision examinations are an important part of preventative health care. Many eye and vision problems have no obvious signs or symptoms; as a result, individuals are often unaware that problems exist. Many systemic diseases can manifest in the eye, and frequently the eye may be the first place in the body that shows these signs; therefore early diagnosis and treatment of these conditions are essential for maintaining good vision and eye health. A comprehensive eye and vision examination at Graystone Eye includes patient medical history, visual acuity, preliminary tests, keratometry, refraction, eye focusing, eye teaming and eye movement, and an overall eye health evaluation.
As with any other routine/preventative exam, if a medical diagnosis is found, your visit is no longer considered a routine visit and will be billed under your medical insurance and not your vision benefits.
